Dr Mathew Emmett

Dr Mathew Emmett AADipl explores situated cognition, space perception, creativity and the mechanisms of dissonance across mixed-media installation, architecture and sound.

Mathew is a founding member of Estranged Space, Perception Network and is an investigator for CogNovo (funded by the EU Marie Curie initiative). Among other collaborations and international commissions, Emmett has worked with Charles Jencks, The Roman Baths, Kaos Theatre, and Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site whilst attending the Karlheinz Stockhausen sound interpretation and composition workshop in 2007.

Emmett is an artist and chartered architect and has exhibited in the U.K, Germany and Switzerland, has authored publications/papers, and is currently an Associate Professor at Plymouth University.
